International Woman’s Day & The New Players Theatre alongside YoungBlood presents
Fighting Women: Stage Violence and Empowering the Actress
New Players Theatre Stage 17th March 6pm-10pm
This four-hour workshop taught by Tim Klotz includes a range of stage combat techniques and discussion of common types of stage violence involving actresses; particularly domestic violence in theatre, film and TV.
The discussion will include crucial production combat practices and guidelines that every actor should know.
In addition you will also be given an introduction to the unique YoungBlood approach to ‘acting the fight’.
Tim Klotz is a UK based fight director who specialises in creating powerful and truthful violence for stage and screen. In 2002 the unflinching television drama Falling Apart won two BAFTAs with Tim Klotz providing the fight direction. Tim works at venues such as Drama Centre, The Globe and the Royal Festival Hall.
This event is for women participants only.
YoungBlood are proud to offer the course for International Woman’s Day. £25 per place. Your proceeds from this event are donated to charity.
