YoungBlood Workshops and Training

Throughout the year we hold a number courses created to suit the actor's needs.

• Intensives span 1 week or longer, rapidly delivering a broad base of knowledge and skills usually with the option of accredidation through the British Academy of Dramatic Combat (BADC) or other internationally recognised bodies.
• Weekend Workshops to refresh and maintain skills and to allow people new to Stage Combat a taster as to what it is all about or for people to try new disciplines.
• One-off Sessions are also available

Practical Training Philosophy

'We train actors who like to work. And we do so in a safe and nurturing enviornment.

However, we are not interested in enternal students who are perpetually training. Set your goals and make it count from this moment. Now.

We train actors as if their life and their livelyhood depends on their ability to deliver their talent. Because it does.

I train you so that one day I can go onstage and trust my work and my safety to someone who is professionally trained and responsible. You.

Foundation and 'gateway' or non-professional training is gentle and encouraging, but if you are persuing a professional qualification you will work hard. If you like hard work you will love the training.

From the moment you come into my classroom I draw out your potential as a professional collaborator. I want you to achieve beyond your own expectations.

If you are not ready for that responsibility we will make you ready, or suggest other training options to you.

The host venue for the YB 2008 Summer Intensive is once again the Drama Centre London, probably the leading UK drama school embracing methodical US and European acting. The focus this year is ACTING THE FIGHT:
